A radio rip of “Suki da na kimi ga” & “My Way~Joshikou Hanamichi~” from Morning Musume’s 12 Smart album has been released.
The first song, Suki da na kimi ga, is a Sayumi and Mizuki duet. The radio rip is a HQ version but I still can’t make out Mizuki’s voice and I mainly hear Sayu throughout the song, but I think that’s mainly because Sayu has been in the group longer and I’m use to hearing her voice more. I think it the order they sing is Sayumi then Mizuki but during Mizuki’s part there’s some background voices so that throws me off, regardless of that the song is a very nice one. It fits their cute image, has a sort of electro instrumental sound and the chorus can get addicting.
I wasn’t expecting Mizuki and Sayumi duet and since the last concert I was somewhat expecting a Sayumi and Erina duet but regardless of that I think Mizuki and Sayumi make a nice duo and hopefully we can get a preview of the concert clips soon because I’m curious what sort of dance they’ll do for this song.

Next is My Way~Joshikou Hanamichi~, it’s a very short preview but we still get a good idea of what the song is like. The song is hard to explain but it reminds me of a sped up version Maji desu ka ska and there’s more rock to it. The song goes really fast in the beginning then it slows down a bit and makes me think of Mikan a bit. From what I can hear everyone has a line in here and it’s nice to hear that since it gives everyone a chance to show off their voices. I really like this song mainly because I can hear everyone at least once and it has a energetic feel that makes you just wake up.

From all the radio previews so far, this album is very different from their last one since it features more rock-electro sounds and I absolutely love it! Hopefully everyone feels the same and reserve a copy when it’s released.
The release date is set for 10/12.
