Morning Musume – “Silver no Udedokei” Radio Preview Released

A radio preview for Morning Musume’s 12th album’s song titled Silver no Udedokei has been released through Riho’s radio show.
Those who already listened to the concert rip know that the song is a Reina/Riho duo with rap in the song done by Niigaki, and we recently got to know that Aika also participated in the rapping which is really a nice touch for the song since it’s done by 2 main singers for the whole song and 2 rappers instead of one, as well as Aika gets the chance to do something new since Gaki usually gets the rap in album songs.
Apart from those details, the song is really more clear now in the radio preview, and I have to say that I was amazed by how well Reina and Riho sounded together, and even though Riho’s voice might sound a bit strange at first because she sings after Reina’s soothing voice, Riho manages to settle her voice after all to fit the song, and the very calm instrumental as well as the inserted rap and the very nice up and downs in the beats all add up to make an amazing song that both Reina and Riho master perfectly (and I’m sure it’ll sound amazing in concerts).
Even though I would have liked Riho to get a happy song where she seems more at ease, I’m not surprised to see that they tried to give her one of the hard songs in term of high notes and in ability to stay in rythm since she is the most overlooked Kyuukie, and I’m happy to see she managed to make her voice fit well even though I think Reina did the most amazing job since she didn’t sound as her usual squeaky self like in Ai no Honoo where she gave a twist to every letter, so I’m amazed by this as well probably more than Riho’s great job and Aika and Gaki’s awesome rap.
Overall, I find myself unable to see anything negative about this song (or any of the ones we heard so far), so hopefully all this fair distribution of the members in the single and their great vocals in each and every song will persuade fans of purchasing the album to support Momusu.
