Loving You Too Much is another Thai cover of Bird Thongchai’s “Too Much So Much Very Much”
Thanks to narz for the details!
The tracklist for Berryz Koubou’s 29th single titled cha cha SING has been released.
Surprisingly the tracklist seems to feature quite a bit of content, with three songs instead of the usual two. It seems like the B-side will also be a cover from the same artist so that’s an interesting detail since it seems like most of the single will be a cover, with the only original song being the Momochi track.

The song does have a b-side sound to it with a slow rhythm compared to the main song, so it seems like it will fit perfectly with the upbeat song, and since it’s as catchy as the other original song it seems like this single will be a great hit for Berryz.
The other b-side does sound really interesting since it’s basically a Momo solo song, as the title suggests. It might be due to them trying to appeal to those who have seen Momoko on TV and heard her famous catchphrase, but it will be interesting to see just how it turns out since it might be a cute upbeat song or a song that sounds like her character …. which might be somewhat less appealing to some.
Overall the single looks really good so far, despite being mostly a cover single, so I hope everyone is looking forward to this release!
The release date is set for 7/25.

“Chou HAPPY SONG” iOS App Released

The iOS version of Berryz Koubou and C-ute’s Chou HAPPY SONG app has been released.
An Android version of the app was released a few weeks ago and while it was pretty straightforward from the images what it was about, many of us hadn’t had a chance to use it due to lack of Android devices. That’s why I’m glad to see that the iOS version is finally out since we can check it out for ourselves, and while I was a bit optimistic about it, it didn’t really meet my expectations.

It’s basically an interactive ad, where you can move the slider at the bottom either way and it will focus more on the song that’s directly above it (left – Because Happiness, middle – Chou HAPPY SONG, right - Shiawase no Tochuu). After a while it did get somewhat boring since there wasn’t that much to do, but it was entertaining at least for some time. Unfortunately the song only plays for a short time and after that you are presented with a screen where you can click to buy the single, albums, or visit the official site.

This was an interesting release since it’s been quite some time since we got an app from UFA, and for the most part it was a nice addition to the promotion. Sure, many will probably open it up a few times then delete it, but it was a cute release to help promote the single, even if the three images you see are basically the only screens you’re going to see in the app.
Hopefully we get more promotion in this way since it’s a great way to enjoy the song first hand, but now I encourage everyone to download it and check it out. It’s free so it’s well worth taking a look at!

StylipS – “Brand-new Style!! ~Mahou Mitai na Show Time~” & “Seishun Plan!” Radio Previews Released

Radio previews for the 2 B-sides of StylipS’ first single titled Brand-new Style!! ~Mahou Mitai na Show Time~ and Seishun Plan! have been released.
The first song, Brand-new Style!! ~Mahou Mitai na Show Time~ is a really energetic song that seems to be a little happier and more upbeat than the main song, and I have to say that there’s nothing to hate about this song that makes in my opinion a wonderful B-side, mostly thanks to the great harmony between the girls’ voices in the chorus and group lines, and I even have to admit that they all sounded really unique and special in their solo lines.
Mostly, the catchiest moments of the song should be the instrumental all along, as well as the shout-outs in the beginning and end of the song that add a little bit of attitude to the song to take it away from the regular pattern of happy songs, and the chorus is quite addictive as well since it’s full of a happy instrumental with great vocals and some cute additions in-between.
On the other hand, Seishun Plan! has a slightly slower pace while still being energetic, and the arrangement of the song alongside the 2nd voices done by the girls are really exceptional since they result in a very soft and pleasant sound to hear, specially with the very powerful chorus that from what I could understand, seems to be really uplifting, so this turns out to be a surprisingly good song that could have easily worked for an A-side in my opinion.
Overall, Brand-new Style!! ~Mahou Mitai na Show Time~ is like the perfect happy and upbeat song to start off the day while being energetic with great vocals and an amazing arrangement, and same applies to Seishun Plan! that seems to be a more soothing song that still gets one energized, while being a little calmer, and the combo of those 2 B-sides make this single a really solid one considering it’s mostly energetic while having 3 different styles of happy and upbeat songs.
Hopefully after listening to the B-sides, fans will consider purchasing a copy of the single to support the girls since they seem to have a wonderful future ahead of them with their unique style!
The release date is set for 2/8.

Niigaki Risa FC Bus Tour In April Announced

0

Niigaki Risa announced on her blog that she will have an FC bus tour.
Details such as the location, the official title, and prices haven’t been revealed.
It was just a matter of time until we heard of a special solo event for Gaki since H!P members usually get one last solo event before their graduation. That’s why I’m really happy to see that she will have one about a month before her graduation since fans will be able to attend and show their support.
The announcement was done on Gaki’s blog along with a message that more details will be released soon, but it’s something everyone can look forward too since there are many pictures shortly after the event. Since this is her last event I encourage everyone who can to attend it since it’s a pretty unique opportunity to enjoy a bus tour with Gaki.
We’ll update once more details have been released.
The tour will take place on 4/21 ~ 4/22.

The DVD and Bluray bonus tracklist for Hello! Project 2011 SUMMER ~Nippon no mirai wa YEAH YEAH Live & WOW WOW Live has been released.
I want to first mention that this post is quite long since it features 3 different tracklists and so I’m doing the post a little bit different than normal. I’ll be posting the tracklist then my comments instead of posting the entire tracklist then listing all my comments.
WOW WOW Tracklist

35. MC 9
36. Koko ni iruzee!/All
The best tracklist I’ve seen so far from H!P and it might be a little bias since a lot of the songs listed here are my favorites but H!P has really stepped up their game on these concerts recently so there’s really no complaints for me.
There are a total of 9 MCs and in the past I’d usually skip the MC’s since I don’t have a clue what they’re saying and I always thought of MC’s a useless fillers to allow the other performers time to change and get ready. However this year I’m sure the MC’s are filled with a lot of interest trivia from the members. It’s been awhile since they had this tour but this is the concert where fans were voting members for certain positions, like who they thought was cutest after Sayumi. I’m looking forward to seeing the MC’s this year even though I don’t quite understand what’s going on.

33. MC 8
34. All for One & One for All/All
I’m not too familiar with most of the songs on this tracklist but I think it’s just as good as the WOW WOW tracklist. This one features High-King’s last performance as well as Ogawa Saki’s last solo at the H!P concert so it’s special in it’s own way.
My favorite part of all concert DVD is watching the VTR so I’m really looking forward to seeing it on DVD and I’m a bit curious if there will be a difference between the VTR. The tracklist says there’s two different versions of Love Machine, which makes me hope that there’s also a difference in the VTR too. Regardless of what happens this is something I’m really looking forward to.

LALALA Shiawase no Uta /All
First off the Blu ray is a 2 disc set that features both concerts in HD. It’s about $25 more than buying the 2 DVDs individually but the blu ray does feature bounus footage which is worth buying.
The only downside is it doesn’t feature all the solo performances. Just from looking at all tracklist Gaki’s performance of the Party and Miyabi’s performance of SOME BOYS! TOUCH doesn’t appear. That’s a bit disappointing to me, I would’ve liked to swap out some of the group performances that appear for more solos since we can always see the group performances at the specific concerts. Also this might me a bit unfair for Mano but she is a soloist and she performed many songs on her own and it’s featured in the DVD so I would’ve switched some of her solo performances on the bonus tracklist for other member solos that didn’t appear. I was hoping that 9th gen’s solos would be on here so that I could see them individually but it looks as though I’ll have to wait until the next concert to have that appear.
Hopefully everyone will reserve a copy of the DVD since it was Ogawa Saki and Takahashi Ai’s last H!P concert and just because everything is great.
The release date is set for 11/16, and the blu ray will be released on 12/14.
