The HQ covers for Berryz Koubou’s edition of Berryz Koubou and C-ute’s joint single under the label Piccolo Town titled Amazuppai Haru ni Sakurasaku have been released.
As expected, the setting were the shots were taken are very similar to the covers C-ute has but with Berryz being the main focus, but I really like the fact that we immediately got HQ covers for Berryz’s edition since we get to see some small details that weren’t apparent on C-ute’s covers.
First of all, the Regular Edition cover is the most similar to C-ute since they used the same background with the “Omedetou” flag that begins in Berryz’s cover and ends in C-ute’s (which is a really cute addition), while having all of the girls holding diplomas in their hands, and the only change seems to be the background’s color making it majorly blue to fit Berryz’s outfits, and the girls have switched places so that Berryz Koubou are the main focus of the cover, as well as the disposition of the white board that has the title of the song, and apart from that I think this will be a great way for fans to pick up the edition they like the most within the 2 regulars since all of the girls are featured equally judging by the equal content.
Following is Limited A that also follows a similar pattern to C-ute’s in terms of disposition since the members of Berryz Koubou are all standing in the front in a somewhat classy attitude while C-ute members are featured smaller in the back, and since these covers are in HQ, we get to see that C-ute members are actually laughing in the background with smiles on their faces which might be what makes this cover less boring than C-ute’s Limited A where Berryz Koubou members were just standing in a line behind them.
Limited B edition is probably the most fun out of them all since it features Berryz members only in a class room, posing against a chalk board and standing cutely in a group formation with Kumai sitting and Miyabi in the center, and even though this cover might not look that special, I do get that unique group vibe from the picture and their warm smiles and their formation really makes it all special to me.
Overall, we now only have to wait for HQ covers of C-ute’s edition, but I find those covers really impressive so far since a same theme has been applied to both C-ute and Berryz’s covers, but with slight changes that make all the difference and add up to wonderful covers.
The release date is set for 11/9.
