The PV for Berryz Koubou and C-ute’s collaboration single titled Amazuppai Haru ni Sakurasaku has been released.
The PV was played on a show that Maimi and Chinami attented and unfortunately, there’s a little bit at the end missing but we will get to see it once the video is released on the official channels.
The PV is really cute and takes place in various rooms of a school (class room, outside, theater…), and the girls in the PV are wearing their promotional outfits which are the traditional yukatas; pink for C-ute and green for Berryz, and they are all sporting traditional hairstyles (mainly Risako), and the nice touch is that apart from the usual close-ups, we get to see the girls actually doing something different and creating a nice story.
The story behind the PV is about the girls getting ready to perform a song that has the same title as the single (which is very nice since in the PV, they start singing the song on stage as if they had practiced it before and are performing it), and many cite details are added to complete the frame such as the rehearsal room where Risako first writes the song’s title on a chalk board, where we also see Airi and Maasa set up chairs and putting the partitions for the song, or Maimi and Kumai as well as Nakky and Chinami practicing the song by therselves before going to the general practice to which Chisa and Momo arrive late and get teased, and the final award ceremony and performance on stage of the song which all add up to create a great storyline for the PV.
Many other nice details catched my attention, mainly the sakura petals falling on the ground and around the girls at the beginning and in their close-ups at the end which reminds us of the title and gives a spring feeling to the video, as well as the group rehearsal in the classroom where Kumai is standing in the middle singing with Momo and Chisa on the sides swaying from side to side, and I have to say that those who really caught my attention were Risako, Chisa, Kumai and Chinami specially (even though for some reason, everyone’s makeup and hairstyles weren’t that flattering…).
Overall, I have nothing negative to say about this PV since it fits the song and the title to the perfection and the girls all look really happy and cute in the video, but I admit that I would have liked a little more variety in the shots or at least alternative outfits.
Hopefully everyone who watched the PV will like the song even more and consider purchasing a copy of the single since there’s still the B-sides alongside the great main song that we didn’t get to hear yet too so please reserve a copy to support your favorite group or both!
