Site: My internet was finally restored yesterday! As mentioned last week my internet at home was out for quite some time so the amount of updates I could do were a bit limited since I could only work on posts when I was in school, which unfortunately meant that updates for the profile section were basically on a standstill for most of the week.
Despite that I managed to do a few updates today, mainly the 10th gen members who now have profiles. I should be done with updates for this section soon now that I can work on them so I’ll do my best to have the section up on the menu bar, but for now I’ll focus on making profiles for those who still don’t have them (new S/mileage members and the new Eggs).
Apart from that the Links page seems to have been received well and so far I have made a few corrections on some links that were mentioned, but I’ll see if I can make a few more additions to the list in the coming days. If you have an H!P blog or site and would like to be on the list please send me an email through the Contact Us section.
Apart from that I hope to finish work on the Profile section soon to start my focus on the new pages I have planned as well as a few enhancements I want to do for the site.
We have passed the 500 follower mark on Twitter so again, thank you to everyone who follows our Twitter account!
Polls: The winner for this poll was Mitsui Aika with 517 votes (57%), congratulations Mittsi! Takeuchi Akari came in second with 195 votes (22%), and Nakanishi Kana came in third with 189 votes (21%).
There was a total of 901 votes for this poll.
Congratulations Mittsi!
Votes for this poll were a bit down compared to the usual amount of votes, but it’s understandable why since it included two new S/mileage members. As a result Mitsui did a pretty good job of securing her first place, with close to 60% of the votes although the amount of votes between her and the first place in last weeks poll were a bit similar so it’s easy to see why that along with a slightly lower vote total resulted in a high percentage.Despite that I am glad to see that Mitsui got such a high amount of votes since she seems to be somewhat under promoted, and while Akari and Kana got only about 20% each it seems like a good start and with time it should increase as everyone gets to learn more about their personalities.
Congratulations Mitsui and good luck to Kana and Akari in their next polls!
Next week’s poll includes Tsugunaga Momoko, Kumai Yurina, and Suzuki Airi, and as many might tell it will be a very close poll since they all seem to be very popular, especially Airi who will probably give Momo and Kuma-chan quite a challenge. I look forward to finding out just how it will turn out since Momo and Airi might be the top contenders for 1st place, although Kumai also has a very strong fanbase.
Shuukan Hello: As promised this week we will see an Utaban episode!
I recently went back and double checked to make sure I had all of the episodes I had stored in DVDs on my computer, and to my surprise I found a few more bringing my total amount of Utaban episodes to 50. This means that there are quite a lot to feature and while I won’t show them all at the same time now there should be more than enough for everyone to enjoy.
I decided to show my favorite episode, although it was hard to decide between all of them since each of them have their own priceless moment, but between the H.P. All Stars episode and the many Matsuura, Mini Moni, Miki, and Goto episodes I decided to show one from Momusu, specifically the one for Shabondama back in 2003.
Not many recent fans might have seen them since they are a bit hard to find but basically Momusu and UTB during the early 2000′s were some of the best episodes for promotion since they focused on the girls more, and while Utaban might be over and the episodes are almost a decade old they are still very funny to watch.
For this episode we will get to see the 6th generation being introduced so compared to today Reina and Sayu aren’t as used to the camera in this episode, but there are many great moments, most notably Yaguchi’s Vietnam PB as well as Ogawa.
I’ll do my best to show of all of the episodes I have all so that everyone can get a chance to see them, but I also plan on eventually showing off Dokyu (about 26~27 episodes), Futarigoto (7 episodes), Hello! Morning (47 episodes), Haromoni@ (3 episodes, but I think I have more), some Hello Pro Hour episodes (4 total), and of course the Mechaike specials.
I also have a few that were stand alone specials, like a series titled Gorokkies featuring the 5th and 6th generation, some HEY! HEY! HEY! and Music Fighter episodes (I also plan on finding the Ayaka English lesson specials to show them off).
I’m not sure just how long the episodes will be on Youtube since they don’t seem to last that long on there, so please check them out before they are taken down.
For now I am planning on dedicating this month to Utaban, but I might interchange from time to time with the Hello! Pro Time episodes depending on the feedback I receive, so for now I hope everyone enjoys this week’s episode!
