Coupling songs for upbeat singles are usually ballads so I’m not surprised to see that it sounds a bit too calm, and while the preview is relatively short due to Gaki and Kitahara talking during most of the song the minute or so that we hear still gives us a good idea about what to expect.
The intro sets the song well and while it might be a ballad it has somewhat of an upbeat feeling to it with the drums and guitar playing during most of the song. Ballads are usually great ways to show off someone’s voice since they usually don’t have that many instruments, but since the drums and guitar are a bit loud compared to her voice it’s hard to hear her that well, although she did a great job with the song.
It’s not the most impressive song I’ve heard but it’s a nice addition for the single and for any Sayaka fan since it’s somewhat catchy and it has a nice sound to accompany the upbeat a-side.
Hopefully everyone has their copy reserved since this seems like another solid release from Sayaka.
The release date is set for 11/9.
